Sony has unveiled the Prism Collection, a set of PS5 accessories with see-through DualSense controllers and matching console covers. You can pick from Flare Orange, Emerald Green, or Graphite Gray.
The glossy, translucent shells let you peek at some of the hardware inside, a throwback to the clear-cased electronics that were everywhere in the late '90s. In the U.S., each DualSense will cost $84.99 and the console covers will run $74.99.
Pre-orders open Nov. 10 at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. The collection launches Feb. 4, 2027, though dates may vary by region. Covers will mostly sell directly through PlayStation in select countries, with limited stock at other retailers in some markets.
The timing is interesting, since the PS6 is still a question mark. Reports point to a 2028 or 2029 launch with a possible price near $1,000, and Sony has said it will stop making physical discs in January 2028. For now, the herd gets a cosmetic upgrade, not a new generation.
