Nintendo has scheduled a surprise Indie World Showcase for tomorrow, October 28. The stream runs roughly 15 minutes, starts at 7:00 a.m. PDT, and will air on Nintendo's YouTube channel.
Nintendo says the show will focus on new announcements and updates for indie games coming to Switch 2 and Switch. Because it's indie-only, don't expect Zelda, Mario, or Samus. The announcements will come from Nintendo's third-party partners. The last Indie World Showcase, back in March, brought a few standouts, including Denshattack! and a surprise Switch 2 release of Blue Prince.
The one name the herd will be watching for is Team Cherry. Its Hollow Knight: Silksong expansion, Sea of Sorrow, was announced with a 2026 release window, and the studio has been quiet about it for a while. A shadow drop or a firm release date would be welcome, unless the expansion has slipped.
Smaller show, no Mario in sight, but a 15-minute stream is easy to fit into a Tuesday morning. Set an alarm for 7:00 a.m. PDT and see what's been hiding in the indie pipeline.
