Creative Assembly has confirmed Alien: Isolation 2 will get a physical edition when it launches in 2027. The news came in a 17-minute video where the team answered fan questions about the game.
The disc matters because it arrives before PlayStation's all-digital shift in 2028. The team is also building a photo mode meant to feel like a real camera, with depth of field, lighting options, and filters that nod to the original films.
The sequel picks up months after the first game and moves partly outdoors, where the Xenomorph can use rough weather and open space to hunt you. About a third of the original crew is back, and lead game designer James Green called the project a "dream project."
The most unusual idea is an optional mic toggle that pipes whatever your microphone picks up into the game. Scream, set down a mug, or let the dog bark, and the Xenomorph might come looking. Maybe keep the room quiet.
